Brett A. Baxter teaches on Sport and Exercise Science BSc (Hons) at University of Northampton, specialising in biomechanics and neuromuscular physiology. Brett graduated from University of Essex in 2017 with an undergraduate degree in Sport and Exercise Science BSc (Hons) and from Loughborough University in 2018 with a postgraduate degree in Sports Biomechanics MSc, whereby he was awarded scholarships for academic excellence in all four years. Currently, Brett is conducting research towards a PhD, titled “The Effects of Acute and Chronic Eccentric Exercise on the Neuromuscular Characteristics and Physical Activity Levels of Older Adults.”
Brett is an Associate Fellow of The Higher Education Academy and a member of The Physiological Society, with interests in ageing, sarcopenia, musculotendinous mechanics, eccentric training, and detraining.
