Biography
Mark Rothery specialises in the history of British social elites, particularly the aristocracy and the gentry. His work focuses on a range of themes including family, demography, economics, gender, masculinity and most recently emotions. He has published major journal articles and books on these topics. Mark is currently working on an emotional history of the aristocracy in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
