Abstract
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, the working environment has experienced an enormous disruption in the day-to-day routine and how employees engage with work (Mcguire, Germain and Reynolds, 2021). As a result, organisations and leaders have questioned performance management's relevance during a crisis (Aguinis and Burgi-Tian, 2021). Arguably, performance management's relevance has been questioned because of the profound and instant effect the rapid spread of COVID -19 has on the organisation and its working environment globally (Mcguire, Germain and Reynolds, 2021). This developmental paper examines the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on performance management practice within the UK context.
